Hé Môi: To utter one’s lips.

Hé Mở: To half-open.

Hèn Mọn: Ignoble—Humble—Mean—Despicable.

Hèn Nhát: Cowardly

Hẹn Lần Hẹn Lựa: Empty promise—Practice whatever you can practice today. Do not put off until tomorrow what you can practice today because you may never have tomorrow: Hãy tu tập những gì ta có thể tu tập hôm nay, chớ đừng hẹn lần hẹn lựa đến ngày mai vì biết đâu mình sẽ chẳng bao giờ có ngày mai.

Héo Tàn: To fade—To wither—To shrivel up.

Hệ:

1) Cột trói: To fasten—To attach to.

2) Cột trói tư tưởng: To fix the thought on.

3) Ràng buộc: Connect—Bind—Involve—To be attached to.

Hệ Châu: Chẳng biết trong áo của mình có buộc hạt châu, lại tưởng mình nghèo khốn mà đi xin ăn—A peral fastened in a man’s garment, yet he, in ignorance of it, is a beggar.

Hệ Duyên: See Duyên.

Hệ Niệm: Ràng buộc ý niệm theo một hướng nhất định, chẳng nghĩ gì khác (đêm ngày thường ràng buộc niệm, chớ nghĩ tới cảnh dục, ngược lại luôn nghĩ tới cảnh Tây Phương Cực Lạc)—To fix the mind, attention, or thought on—To think of—To be drawn to—Always think of the western paradise, not thinking of desires.

Hệ Phược:

1) Trói buộc (phiền não trói buộc thân tâm làm mất tự do): To fasten to—To tie—Tied to, e.g. things, or the passions.

2) Phiền não: Affliction.

Hệ Thống: System.

Hệ Thống Tư Tưởng Thích Hợp: A rational system of thoughts

Hệ Trọng: Important—Vital.

Hệ Trước: See Duyên.

Hên: To be lucky.

Hên Xui: Lucky and unlucky.

Hết Hơi: To be out of breath.

Hết Hy Vọng: Without hope—To despair—To lose all hope.

Hết Kế: To be at the end of one’s resourses.

Hết Lòng: To be devoted to—With all one’s heart—Heartily—Wholehearted.

Hết Lòng Tùy Hỷ: Wholehearted rejoice.

Hết Nhẵn: All finished.

Hết Nói: To find nothing more to say.

Hết Phương: To be at the end of one’s resources.

Hết Sức: To be exhausted—At the end of one’s tether.

Hết Thế: See Hết phương.

Hết Thời: To be on the down grade.

Hết Tiệt: See Hết Nhẵn.

Hệt: Close resemblance.
