71. 娑ta婆bà 訶ha

天thiên 女nữ 散tán 花hoa 供cúng 行hành 人nhân
Heavenly goddesses scatter flowers as offering to practitioners.
嚴nghiêm 持trì 戒giới 律luật 妙diệu 通thông 神thần
Our precepts and Vinaya held strictly, our spiritual powers superb —
更cánh 能năng 迴hồi 光quang 觀quán 自tự 在tại
If we can then turn our light around and contemplate with ease,
不bất 久cửu 當đương 契khế 大đại 覺giác 尊tôn
Before long we will tally with the Great Awakening of Honored Ones.

72. 那na囉ra 謹cẩn 墀trì 皤bàn 伽đà 囉ra 耶da

小tiểu 中trung 現hiện 大đại 無vô 礙ngại 身thân
His body unhindered, the great appears within the small.
東đông 西tây 南nam 北bắc 任nhậm 縱tung 橫hoành
His scope pervades north, south, east, west.
三tam 千thiên 世thế 界giới 唯duy 一nhất 念niệm
The three-thousand system of worlds is but a single thought.
你nhĩ 我ngã 他tha 心tâm 不bất 可khả 分phân
In no way can you, I, and others be separate from the mind.

73. 娑ta婆bà 訶ha

禮lễ 拜bái 供cúng 養dường 要yếu 虔kiền 誠thành
When bowing and making offerings be earnest and sincere.
香hương 花hoa 燈đăng 果quả 日nhật 日nhật 新tân
Incense, flowers, lamps and fruit should be fresh daily.
真chơn 心tâm 修tu 行hạnh 離ly 諸chư 相tướng
Cultivation using the true mind is apart from any marks.
三tam 輪luân 體thể 空không 出xuất 迷mê 津tân
Making the three aspects of giving empty, we leave confusion.

74. 摩ma婆bà 利lỵ 勝thắng 羯yết 囉ra 夜dạ

千thiên 手thủ 千thiên 眼nhãn 大đại 慈từ 悲bi
A thousand hands, a thousand eye as well as great compassion
普phổ 化hóa 三tam 界giới 度độ 眾chúng 回hồi
Change the whole world and bring us back across.
諸chư 天thiên 魔ma 王vương 皆giai 授thọ 首thủ
Kings among the heavenly demons accept this teaching.
改cải 惡ác 向hướng 善thiện 速tốc 來lai 歸quy
Turn from evil, become good, and so quickly return.

75. 娑ta婆bà 訶ha

禮lễ 而nhi 未vị 禮lễ 修tu 無vô 修tu
Bowing without having bowed; practice with no concept of practice.
空không 泯mẫn 所sở 空không 有hữu 何hà 求cầu
Realizing even emptiness is empty, what is there to seek?
看khán 破phá 放phóng 下hạ 真chơn 自tự 在tại
Seeing through it all and putting it down is true freedom.
逍tiêu 遙diêu 法pháp 界giới 任nhậm 悠du 遊du
Roaming throughout the Dharma Realm we can do as we please.

76. 南nam無mô 喝hắt 囉ra 怛đát 那na 哆đa 囉ra 夜dạ 耶da

真chân 空không 為vị 體thể 幻huyễn 色sắc 用dụng
With True Emptiness as his substance and illusory form as his function,
觀quán 察sát 世thế 間gian 救cứu 諸chư 病bệnh
He contemplates those in the world and saves them from sickness.
隨tùy 機cơ 感cảm 應ứng 難nan 思tư 議nghị
The responses that happen are timely and hard to imagine.
我ngã 等đẳng 盲manh 癡si 當đương 皈quy 命mạng
We blind and dull ones should certainly take refuge.

77. 南nam無mô 阿a 利rị 耶da

化hóa 身thân 普phổ 賢hiền 徧biến 三tam 千thiên
Transforming and appearing as Universal Worthy who pervades all worlds.
跏già 趺phu 座tòa 上thượng 法pháp 無vô 邊biên
He is seated in full lotus and ready with boundless Dharmas.
百bách 寶bảo 輪luân 掌chưởng 破phá 地địa 獄ngục
His hundred-jeweled, wheeled palm smashes the hells.
阿a 彌di 陀đà 佛Phật 住trụ 西tây 天thiên
Amitabha Buddha is the Venerable Host of the Western Paradise.

78. 婆bà嚧lô 吉yết 帝đế

法pháp 王vương 長trưởng 子tử 文văn 殊thù 尊tôn
The eldest disciple of the Dharma King is the Venerable Manjushri.
慈từ 心tâm 教giáo 化hóa 娑ta 婆bà 民dân
Kindhearted, he transforms and teaches inhabitants of the Saha world.
同đồng 願nguyện 證chứng 得đắc 無vô 量lượng 智trí
With identical vows, they certify to infinite wisdom.
常thường 寂tịch 光quang 土độ 萬vạn 佛Phật 村thôn
The Land of Stillness and Light is the village of ten thousand Buddhas.

79. 爍thước皤bàng 囉ra 夜dạ

老lão 曰viết 五ngũ 色sắc 使sử 目mục 盲manh
Laozi said, “ Five colors blind the eyes. ”
觀quán音âm 解giải 眼nhãn 悟ngộ 真chân 常thường
Contemplating Sounds freed his eyes and awakened to the Truth.
金kim 葉diệp 寶bảo 蓮liên 毫hào 光quang 照chiếu
Upon a golden lotus he radiates rays of light.
本bổn 來lai 面diện 孔khổng 非phi 爺da 娘nương
Our original face does not come from our worldly family or ancestors.

Silk and earth, bamboo and hide, wood, stone and metal,
八bát 音âm 齊tề 奏tấu 日nhựt 日nhựt 新tân
Make eight notes that combine into endless scores of music.
解giải 了liễu 耳nhĩ 根căn 聞văn 自tự 性tánh
Freeing his ear organ, he heard his own nature.
天thiên 樂nhạc 鳴minh 空không 不bất 動động 心tâm
Even heavenly melodies wafting through space will not move his mind.

Receiving, upholding, reading, and reciting these miraculous phrases,
加gia 被bị 護hộ 念niệm 各các 行hành 人nhân
Bestowing blessings is mindful and protective of everyone who practices.
三tam 千thiên 世thế 界giới 皆giai 示thị 現hiện
Appearing in each world of the three thousand system,
觀quán 音âm 鼻tỵ 根căn 解giải 味vị 塵trần
Contemplating Sounds ’ nose freed itself of defiling smells.

82. 漫mạng多đa 囉ra

持trì 咒chú 誦tụng 經kinh 專chuyên 一nhất 心tâm
Hold mantras and recite Sutras with a single mind.
感cảm 應ứng 道đạo 交giao 土độ 變biến 金kim
When responses mesh with the Way, dirt can turn into gold.
菩bồ 薩tát 慈từ 悲bi 水thủy 現hiện 月nguyệt
Bodhisattvas ’ compassion: like the moon shimmering in water;
眾chúng 生sanh 覺giác 悟ngộ 離ly 味vị 根căn
Living beings ’ awakening: freedom from the tongue and flavors.

83. 跋bạt陀đà 耶da

法pháp 界giới 虛hư 空không 天thiên 外ngoại 天thiên
This is a place beyond any place in space and the Dharma Realm,
微vi 塵trần 剎sát 海hải 盡tận 包bao 含hàm
That contains seas of lands in number like motes of dust.
有hữu 緣duyên 無vô 緣duyên 同đồng 化hóa 度độ
Those with and without affinities will all be taught and saved.
信tín 受thọ 奉phụng 行hành 即tức 聖thánh 賢hiền
Those who believe, accept, honor, and practice are saints and sages.

名danh 曰viết 大đại 悲bi 陀đà 羅ra 尼ni
This, then, is called the Great Compassion Dharani,
四tứ 十thập 二nhị 手thủ 世thế 間gian 稀hy
And, with the Forty-two Hands, is extremely rare in the world.
善thiện 根căn 廣quảng 積tích 方phương 能năng 遇ngộ
Only those with massive good roots encounter these.
不bất 修tu 此thử 法pháp 太thái 可khả 惜tích
What a shame it will be if we fail to cultivate this Dharma!
