觀quán 音âm 示thị 現hiện 鬼quỷ 神thần 王vương
Contemplating Sounds appears as a king of ghosts and spirits.
降hàng 伏phục 諸chư 魔ma 守thủ 規quy 章chương
Who forces the demons to submit and follow the rules and regulations.
一nhất 切thiết 眾chúng 生sanh 依y 教giáo 誨hối
Each and every being relies on the teaching and instructions.
強cường 者giả 調điều 柔nhu 弱nhược 者giả 昌xương
The strong are pacified, and the weak are able to flourish.

This four-armed deity reveals an awesome spirit.
一nhất 切thiết 邪tà 魔ma 望vọng 風phong 迴hồi
When the deviant demons observe that impressive magnificent air,
歸quy 依y 三tam 寶bảo 觀quán 自tự 在tại
They take refuge with the Triple Jewel and start contemplating self-mastery.
積tích 功công 累lũy 行hạnh 善thiện 德đức 培bồi
Amassing merit and practicing good, they foster their virtue.

A display of five turbidities transforms hordes of demons.
常thường 行hành 無vô 我ngã 波ba 羅la 蜜mật
Constant selfless practice will bring paramita.
離ly 諸chư 法pháp 執chấp 衍diễn 摩ma 訶ha
Renouncing attachment to dharmas as well is the Mahayana.

The wisdom that contemplates and the states that are contemplated
圓viên 融dung 自tự 在tại 真chân 如như 性tánh
Are perfectly fused and at ease in the Nature of True Suchness.
無vô 邊biên 誓thệ 願nguyện 利lợi 眾chúng 生sanh
Boundless resolve and vows benefit all living beings.
不bất 可khả 思tư 議nghị 常thường 在tại 定định
How inconceivable to be able to always reside in deep Samadhi!

When the many creatures speak the Dharma, who listens?
世thế 界giới 眾chúng 生sanh 妄vọng 想tưởng 凝ngưng
Worldly beings are formed by solidifying of false thoughts.
諸chư 佛Phật 本bổn 源nguyên 離ly 文văn 字tự
The original source of the Buddhas is beyond the spoken and written word.
如như 是thị 我ngã 聞văn 大đại 悲bi 功công
Thus I have heard ” is the function of great compassion.

46. 菩bồ提đề 夜dạ 菩bồ 提đề 夜dạ

慈từ 悲bi 喜hỷ 捨xả 四tứ 無vô 量lượng
Using kindness, compassion, joy, and giving, the four infinite minds,
示thị 現hiện 善thiện 相tướng 化hóa 群quần 萌manh
She reveals wholesome aspects to transform the untaught masses.
攝nhiếp 受thọ 眾chúng 生sanh 登đăng 彼bỉ 岸ngạn
Gathering in beings, she helps them ascend to the other shore.
迴hồi 光quang 返phản 照chiếu 歸quy 故cố 鄉hương
Returning her light she shines it within and goes back home.

Contemplating Sounds may show up in an ugly evil shape
折chiết 服phục 強cường 暴bạo 改cải 心tâm 靈linh
To restrain these stubborn and violent ones until they change their minds.
同đồng 證chứng 無vô 生sanh 般bát 若nhã 智trí
When prajna wisdom is revealed, everyone certifies to nonproduction
還hoàn 入nhập 娑ta 婆bà 度độ 有hữu 情tình
And enters again the Saha world to rescue sentient ones.

Đức Phật bảo ngài A-Nan:
– Ông nên dùng lòng trong sạch tin sâu mà thọ trì môn Đại-Bi Tâm Đà-ra-ni này và lưu bố rộng ra trong cõi Diêm Phù Đề, chớ cho đoạn tuyệt.
(ĐẠI-BI thì “THUẬN” theo chúng-sanh mà HÓA-ĐỘ.

Who feel so secure that even in dreams their spirit is clear.
更cánh 獲hoạch 福phước 報báo 無vô 有hữu 盡tận
The reward of blessings they attain is infinite and boundless as well.
菩bồ 提đề 般bát 若nhã 自tự 行hành 深thâm
Bodhi prajna arises from our own profound practice.

Contemplating Sounds shows up as Venerable Dragon Tree,

Who, gathering those who are ready, helps them leave the fiery pit.
返phản 本bổn 還hoàn 原nguyên 成thành 正chánh 覺giác
Finding our way to the source is realizing proper enlightenment.
微vi 塵trần 剖phẫu 出xuất 法pháp 界giới 經kinh
The Sutra of Dharma Realm is unveiled from within a mote of dust.

Wearing a necklace of human skulls, he chants this mantra.
手thủ 執chấp 鐵thiết 矛mâu 日nhật 夜dạ 巡tuần
Wielding an iron spear, he makes his rounds day and night.
喚hoán 醒tỉnh 眾chúng 生sanh 行hành 諸chư 善thiện
He awakens beings to do every kind of good deed
苦khổ 海hải 無vô 邊biên 莫mạc 沈trầm 淪luân
And not to fall into boundless sea of suffering.
