Trong cõi nầy chúng sanh thân thể hôi hám, xấu xa, bụng to như cái trống, cổ nhỏ như cây kim, miệng luôn phực ra lửa, không ăn uống gì được nên phải chịu đói khát trong muôn ngàn kiếp—In the realm of hungry ghosts, beings have ugly and smelly bodies with bellies as big as drums, while their throats are as small as needles and flames always shoot out of their mouth, therefore, they cannot eat or drink and are subject to hunger and thirst for incalculable eons.
